AirAsia X has paused flights to Perth indefinitely as of the 28th of April. Currently it is unclear for the pause in flights to Perth but with recent growth of AirAsia Malaysia flights operating on the same route could be connected to lack of demand and need for the aircraft. Batik Air and Malaysian Airlines also operates multiple flights per day on the same route, which could have resulted in the pause. AirAsia X has also had delay issues on the route, with large delays in recent weeks.
